Conditions
Group sizes: from 8 to 12 participants depending on the type of tour (mountains), and up to 15 people for half-day cultural outings (such as Lavaux UNESCO for example). Above 15 participants, a second guide is normally hired.
Fees: prices are for a whole group (you split the costs between participants). Price can be raised for special destinations or exceptional demands (long days, night time, etc...) and additional costs may apply for organisation time and office time. Extra costs such as food, beverages, transportation, nights in hotels and huts, etc... come also as a supplement.
Cancellations: when an activity is cancelled by Walkandtalk, there is no cost involved and advance payments are refunded. If a client cancels an activity less than 72 hours before the day it should take place, 50% of the cost may be charged, and the totality of the cost may be charged in case of cancellation less than 48 hours before. If reservations were already made and paid to third-parties, with no refund possibility, they must be paid by the client in all cancellation cases.
During the activity: in case of bad weather or for any other reason (participants fitness level, technical ability, time-table, ...), the target of the activity can be modified at the last moment or while it is taking place by Walkandtalk guides without notice.
Payment: in most cases a bill is sent to the client after the activity has taken place, except for long tours (several days) or for activities that require advance payments or additional services, in which case part of the cost may be demanded in advance.
Participants: any medical problem that may influence the programme must be mentioned to the Walkandtalk guide in charge, before the start of the activity. Participants must be covered by an accident insurance. The client's project leader (usually mentioned at the top of any written contract or email) is in charge of forwarding all necessary information as communicated by Walkandtalk to the participants.
